All Rivermont students in 5th-12th grade are encouraged to participate in school-sponsored athletics, regardless of ability level. Emphasis is placed on sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and confidence. Lessons learned on the field or court develop the character that is an essential component of the Rivermont Experience.

Participation in any athletic activity will require Sports Physical completed by a physician. Completed forms can be delivered in person or scanned and emailed to Linda Paget. All students participating in any athletic activity will also need to pay a one-time Athletic Fee of $50 to help offset the costs of competing, such as uniforms, transportation, equipment, league fees, etc. Coaches will hold sign-ups and meetings well before the start of a sports season.

Rivermont-sponsored athletics include volleyball, basketball, track, and cross country. The Rivermont Lions compete against schools in the area, including Morning Star Academy, Faith Christian School, North Scott High School, Eagle Ridge School, Camanche High School, and numerous others. Students in 9th-12th grade who wish to participate in sports not offered by Rivermont Collegiate may try out for the Bettendorf High School team of their choosing. Contact Michelle Grimm for more information. Rivermont students often compete alongside Bettendorf students in football, tennis, baseball, and more.
