How to Apply
At Rivermont, we pride ourselves on knowing each student’s strengths, interests, and talents. Our applicants come from throughout the greater Quad Cities, surrounding communities, across the nation, and abroad, and we value the diversity that they bring. Our application process is designed to educate prospective families about the advantages of Rivermont while at the same time involving prospective students in academic assessment to determine whether Rivermont is the best and most appropriate fit. Our goal is to admit students who will thrive in our challenging atmosphere and have the ability to take full advantage of our academic and extracurricular opportunities.
The official admissions season for a new school year begins in January. However, Rivermont operates on a rolling admissions cycle, and new students may be admitted throughout the school year. At each grade level, class sizes are held to a predetermined number of students to ensure instruction quality and allow our teachers to work individually with each student. The number of available openings in a given grade level will depend greatly on the number of re-enrollment contracts received from current families. New students are accepted until classes are full.
Rivermont Collegiate works hard to foster an inclusive community within our campus. As a part of this, the Admission Office is here as a resource to help guide you and your family as you work through the application process.
It’s easier than you think to set yourself on a path to Rivermont!

2) Experience Rivermont
Families are welcome to schedule a visit at any point during the application process, but it is important to fill out the Inquiry Form first so we know a little about your student before you come. To schedule a visit, contact the Admissions Department.
If you are unable to visit in person, our Virtual Tour allows you to walk through our buildings, see our classrooms, and begin to imagine what a Rivermont Education will look like for your family.

3) Apply
Rivermont Collegiate uses SchoolAdmin, a cloud-based tool to manage admissions and enrollment. Families must create an account to complete an application, and then they can log in to the family portal to see their status. Families will also provide required admission materials, including current grades and transcripts, via the SchoolAdmin family portal.
4) Financial Aid
Rivermont Collegiate understands that cost is one of the most significant factors impacting your decision to attend an independent school. At Rivermont, we work with each family individually through the Financial Aid Process to ensure a Rivermont education is attainable and valuable.
Domestic Students
Rivermont Collegiate uses FACTS Management to help determine what a family can afford towards the annual Rivermont tuition. Families of PK-12 domestic students are encouraged to complete an online application through FACTS. You can start the financial aid application anytime during the school application process. Tuition discounts are awarded based on the family’s financial need and do not correspond to the determination of eligibility of the student applicant.
International Students
Families will receive more information about International Financial Aid during the Admission Process and learn the cost of attendance at the same time as they receive admission to Rivermont.
