Education Savings Account (ESA) Funding for Iowa Families
The Students First Act, introduced by Governor Reynolds and signed into law on Jan. 24, 2023, provides state funding for every K-12 student in Iowa.
- Families may use ESA funds to cover tuition, fees, and other qualified education expenses at accredited nonpublic schools in Iowa, like Rivermont Collegiate.
- All Rivermont K-12 Iowa families qualify for ESA funds through the Students First Act.
- Rivermont requires all K-12 Iowa families applying for financial aid to apply for ESA funds.
- Families can apply for funding from April 16 to June 30 for the upcoming academic year.
Financial Aid (K-12)
Families apply for financial aid through our third-party FACTS system. A $40 fee is required to apply for financial aid. A limited amount of aid is available each academic year, so families should apply early. You can start the financial aid application at any time during the school application process. Tuition discounts are awarded based on the family’s financial need and do not affect the student applicant’s eligibility determination. Minimum out-of-pocket cost per student is $3,500 plus the $500 non-refundable fee.
