Take a Look

Find out what makes Rivermont Collegiate an unmatched education provider.

Preschool

Our wonder-based classroom is inspired by the child-led, inquiry-based learning of the schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Our students are capable and competent learners ready to engage the world. The preschool classroom meets the demands of these inquiring minds by providing an environment rich in investigations and challenges that provide them opportunities to examine and discover their learning by incorporating empathy, respect, and community through collaboration.

Pre-Kindergarten

Rivermont’s Pre-Kindergarten provides children their first step in formal education, making the important transition from family as the primary learning environment to a broader learning community. Our program encourages learning through guided play in a setting rich with activities and sensory experiences. Children learn by doing. Hence Preschool is an active classroom. Students move about the room and explore creative centers in daily play.

Junior Kindergarten

Junior Kindergarten is an exciting year! At Rivermont, we believe children learn best through active engagement in play, project learning, and hands-on activities. Students learn about the world around them as they develop relationships with teachers and classmates, explore classroom materials, and participate in individual, small group, and whole group learning activities.

Lower School

Kindergarten through 5th Grade

Rivermont’s Lower School provides an academically rigorous yet nurturing environment. You can feel the energy in our halls and classrooms, filled with projects, writing, and artwork that reflect an enthusiasm for learning.

Middle School

6th through 8th Grade

Rivermont’s Middle School recognizes the developmental uniqueness of this age group. These are years of transformational growth – socially, academically, and emotionally. Our family-like environment and strong advisory program support and empower students to become increasingly responsible and independent as they move towards Upper School.

Upper School

9th through 12th Grade

Rivermont’s Upper School provides a rigorous, integrated college prep curriculum in a supportive environment. Our climate of high expectations creates positive peer pressure for excellence in academics, arts, athletics, and character.

Upper School focuses on preparing students with the critical thinking, problem-solving, and writing skills necessary for success in college and the global job market. Upper School curriculum provides an increasing degree of choice and challenge as students progress.

Boarding

Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your student. As a parent, you have the opportunity to choose a school with a mission that is right for your family, resulting in an education that prepares your student for success in college and beyond.

International Students

Our high school focuses on preparing students with the critical thinking, problem solving, and writing skills necessary for success in college and the global job market. Upper School curriculum provides an increasing degree of choice and challenge as students progress. Feeding the World in Our Dining Room

The hearth is the heart of every home, and we are that home away from home for our students from China, Afghanistan, and Vietnam. Fortunately, we have a food service program, lead by Chef Marc Studer, that works hard to attend to the dietary needs of our students, as well as offering extraordinary American cuisine to familiarize them with our national palate. It’s not just hamburgers, French fries and pizza coming out of that kitchen.
