The Rivermont Experience is not confined to the four walls of a classroom. Beginning in Kindergarten, students take advantage of our robust extracurricular program to develop skills in leadership, problem-solving, cooperative work, time management, and building relationships. Rivermont’s emphasis on participation and personal growth make extracurricular activities an enriching, productive experience. Students are encouraged to move outside their comfort zone. It’s not uncommon for a single student to be both an award-winning science fair exhibitor and Student Council President, while also participating in volleyball, show choir, and drama, for example. At Rivermont, there are limitless ways for students to discover themselves beyond the classroom.

Technology

Rivermont embraces technology in and out of the classroom to empower students to become effective communicators, problem solvers, and engaged, ethical citizens. In today’s world, it is not enough that students merely be comfortable and competent using technology – the curriculum must require that they use it as an essential part of their everyday lives. From Preschool through 12th Grade, Rivermont students leverage various technology in their work. Students feel at home in the digital world and understand technology’s benefits and limitations.
