Rivermont Collegiate is a co-educational, independent school offering an exclusively college preparatory program. Its eight and one-half acre campus is located on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River in Bettendorf, Iowa. Founded in 1884, Rivermont is the only 2-year-old through 12th-Grade college preparatory school in the Quad Cities region of the Midwest.

Our high school focuses on preparing students with the critical thinking, problem-solving, and writing skills necessary for success in college and the global job market. The Rivermont Campus

The first building you notice when entering our campus is the historic Bettendorf Mansion. Built in 1915 by Joseph W. Bettendorf, the Mansion houses the school’s administrative offices as well as classrooms for grades 6-12. Next to the Mansion sits the old carriage house which serves as residence hall for our boarding students. The newly renovated building has 17 student beds, 9 of which are single rooms, a student lounge, an art classroom, and two faculty apartments. Our boarding students enjoy free time in the lounge or on the patio, socializing with friends and faculty. Weekends include shopping, movie, and restaurant trips, as well as a “large” trip once a month. Examples include a day trip to Chicago, boating on the Mississippi River, museum visits, and much more.
