The ACT/SAT Prep Academy, one of several new Rivermont Summer Academies, addresses the practical needs of high school students preparing for college admission exams. It offers a comprehensive learning experience, equipping students with various techniques and essential knowledge to confidently tackle SAT math problems.
Rivermont Summer Academies run from June 10 through August 2. The ACT/SAT Prep Academy is from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students can register by the week or for the entire summer. Details can be found here.
Students will learn specialized methods crafted by the instructor to solve algebra and geometry problems efficiently, ensuring they can navigate these challenges effectively during the test. Various topics, from fundamental algebraic operations to advanced trigonometric functions and statistics, emphasize those commonly appearing in the test.
Students engage with the instructor directly, allowing them to ask questions and get personalized guidance for any problems that may leave them puzzled. Working with the instructor, students who extend their stay beyond one week will continually expand and build upon their knowledge. So, each week is not a repeat of the previous.
