As we are currently in Spirit Week (boy there were a lot of Brian Carman's during Wednesday's "Dress as a Teacher Day"), I thought to keep my section focused on our upcoming games tonight. But before I do, I would like to take a moment on behalf of the entire faculty and staff to say how proud we are each day of all our students. Some moments are very visible, like the Student Hunger Drive competition on Tuesday night where our very talented team rocked the house capturing top honors in the opening night skit competition, which garnered 2000 pounds of food donated by HyVee to jump start our Hunger Drive campaign. While other moments may not be as visible, but are equally impressive. Watching a 1st grader yesterday on the playground, stop the activity she was doing, turn and help a classmate up after they stumbled, speaks volumes.

If you are looking for a way to cheer on these remarkable students and have a heck of a lot of fun, come out to support the Homecoming line-up of volleyball games this evening! Let's raise the roof in support of our students....and don't forget to wear our RED and BLACK school colors, and of course your foam paws! See you there.

Have a wonderful and safe weekend.
